JAMSHEDPUR – The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has lifted its operational ban on Jamshedpur-based Alchemist Aviation Private Limited following safety compliance.
The aviation regulator issued its revocation order on December 24. Meanwhile, the institute has implemented comprehensive safety protocols.
“We have thoroughly addressed all regulatory concerns,” said Mrinal Kanti Pal, Managing Director of Alchemist Aviation.
Tragic Incident Background
The suspension came after a fatal crash on August 20. Moreover, the accident involved a Cessna 152 training aircraft.
The Indian Navy located the aircraft wreckage in Chandil reservoir. However, the search operation took five days to complete.
Safety Improvements
The institute has upgraded its maintenance procedures. In addition, it has enhanced pilot training protocols.
“Safety will remain our top priority,” remarked a senior flight instructor at the academy.
Furthermore, the school plans to introduce advanced flight monitoring systems. On the other hand, regular safety drills will become mandatory.
