JAMSHEDPUR – An auto driver, Vikram Singh, was violently attacked late Friday night near the abandoned Cable Company gate in Golmuri’s Bajrang Nagar area. Singh, who was heading to celebrate his wife’s birthday at her parents’ home, sustained severe injuries and is undergoing treatment at MGM Hospital.
Allegations Against Known Miscreants
Singh has accused one Veeru Singh Laddu and his associates of orchestrating the attack. The attackers allegedly surrounded him and began beating him brutally, leading to a serious head injury. Additionally, the victim reported that the group robbed him of ₹7,500, a gold chain, and his mobile phone during the assault.
Past Disputes and Criminal History
The victim revealed an ongoing dispute with Veeru Singh, who is known for his criminal activities and has been jailed previously for other offenses. Singh believes this prior conflict triggered the attack. He further stated that the assault occurred around the desolate area of the Cable Company gate, where the miscreants had planned the ambush.
Police Investigation Underway
The Golmuri police have initiated an investigation based on Vikram Singh’s complaint. While no arrests have been made yet, authorities are gathering evidence and statements to apprehend the accused individuals. Residents in the area have expressed concerns over the rising instances of crime and demand stricter measures to ensure safety.
