JAMSHEDPUR – The district administration in Jamshedpur intensified its campaign against drug abuse with a significant raid on Sunday. Led by the SP, SDO, DSP, and magistrates, the raid targeted 5-6 medical stores on Dimna Road in the Ulidih police station area.

During the operation, authorities seized large quantities of banned substances, including narcotic injections, tablets, and other controlled items. These substances were reportedly being sold without prescriptions, fueling illegal drug use among the city’s youth.

Focus on Eradicating Drug Trade

Sources revealed that the raid aimed to dismantle the widespread illegal drug trade in the region. The targeted stores were allegedly major suppliers of narcotics, posing a severe threat to public health. Officials confirmed the confiscated items included dangerous injections and pills, which were being distributed illegally.

District officials reiterated their commitment to combating the drug menace. Speaking to the media, an official stated, “Such operations will continue to eradicate the drug trade entirely. Protecting our youth from addiction is our primary goal.”

Appeals for Public Support

The operation focused on areas with frequent complaints of illegal drug activity. The administration warned those involved in such activities of strict legal consequences. In addition, they appealed to the public to share any information regarding drug-related offenses to strengthen the fight against narcotics.

The administration’s actions reflect its resolve to curb the growing influence of drugs in society and safeguard the future of the younger generation.
