Key Points:

  • 119 tons of garbage removed from Dimna Road homes.
  • Mango Municipal Corporation targets cleanup in two days.
  • Saryu Roy accuses Congress leaders of obstructing waste disposal.

JAMSHEDPUR – A total of 119 tons of garbage was collected from residential areas along Dimna Road. Mango Municipal Corporation has assured that waste collection across all regions will be completed in the next two days.

The corporation’s workers actively removed waste and dumped it at designated locations. Sharing the update on social media, Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy confirmed the progress and emphasized ongoing cleanup efforts.

Obstruction Allegations and Delays

Saryu Roy blamed Congress leaders in Adityapur for obstructing waste disposal. He stated that had there been no resistance, the garbage in Mango would have been cleared already. Roy also hinted at political involvement behind this opposition, demanding an investigation.

Mango and Jugsalai areas fall under Adityapur Municipal Corporation as the nodal body. Meanwhile, Mango Municipal Corporation aims to clear garbage from all neighborhoods within two days, as per reliable sources.

Saryu Roy’s Criticism of Banna Gupta

Earlier, Roy accused Health Minister Banna Gupta of failing to implement the National Green Tribunal (NGT) orders for 18 months. He alleged that Gupta’s inability to identify waste disposal sites caused the current crisis.

Roy further criticized Gupta for writing to the Chief Minister instead of accepting responsibility. “Banna Gupta should apologize to the public for failing to resolve the garbage disposal issue,” Roy asserted.

The situation continues to draw political blame games while residents await complete cleanup across the Mango region.
