Threatens MNAC Gherao if Garbage Problem Persists
Key Points:
- Congress delegation complains to the Deputy Commissioner
- Criticism directed at current MLA’s inaction
- Warning of protest at MNAC if issues remain unresolved
JAMSHEDPUR – A Congress delegation met with the Deputy Commissioner on Monday, raising concerns over the persistent garbage collection issues in the Mango area. The party warned of a gherao at MNAC if the problem remains unsolved.
The delegation criticized the current MLA’s lack of seriousness toward his constituency. Congress leaders claimed no alternative waste management system was arranged before outsourcing garbage collection to the NGP.
Nitesh Mittal, Congress Vice President, questioned the current MLA’s leadership and compared it to former MLA Banna Gupta’s proactive approach. “Under Banna Gupta, such problems were addressed promptly. Now, roadside garbage is piling up, making it impossible for people to pass,” Mittal said.
He further warned that if the issue is not resolved soon, Congress workers will protest by dumping garbage at MNAC’s gate.
The party also expressed concern over growing hygiene problems in Mango, affecting residents’ daily lives. They urged immediate intervention from the administration to restore cleanliness in the area.
