JAMSHEDPUR – In the double murder case of two sisters from Burmamines, Jamshedpur, the police have arrested retired RPF personnel Dinakant Thakur. The bodies of the victims, Pushpa Das (60) and Pratibha Das (45), were recovered from Gurra River near Narwa Pahad in Jadugoda.

While praising the police for the breakthrough, DSP Sandeep Bhakat revealed that several mysteries in the case remain unsolved. He stated, “The investigation is not yet complete. Apart from Dinakant Thakur, other suspects are also involved, and we are actively searching for them.”

Financial Dispute Led to Brutal Murder

According to the police, the two sisters had a longstanding family association with the accused, Dinakant Thakur, who resides in Parsudih. Over time, Dinakant borrowed significant amounts of money from Pushpa Das but failed to repay the debt. As financial pressure mounted, he resorted to the heinous act.

Ongoing Investigation

The police are now working on recovering the weapon used in the crime and the vehicle involved in transporting the bodies. Teams have been deployed to locate other individuals connected to the murder.

This case, which remained unsolved for three weeks, was cracked by the dedicated efforts of DSP Sandeep Bhakat, Jadugoda Police Station in-charge Rajesh Mandal, Anand Marandi, and other officers. The police have assured that further revelations will soon be made.
