Parsudih Mandi Faces Infrastructure Crisis, Workers Struggle Daily

Major Agricultural Market Lacks Basic Amenities, Daily Trade Worth Crores Affected

Key Points:

  • Krishi Utpadan Bazar Samiti’s canteen remains closed for six months
  • Over 200 workers face hardships without basic facilities
  • Market Committee promises action after widespread complaints

JAMSHEDPUR – The Krishi Utpadan Bazar Samiti, Kolhan’s largest agricultural market, struggles with severe infrastructure problems despite conducting business worth crores daily.

The market’s situation has reached a critical point. The canteen shutdown has created major challenges.

Moreover, workers must leave the premises for meals. This disrupts market operations significantly.

Meanwhile, the toilet facilities remain unusable. Water taps are completely broken.

“The situation has become unbearable for everyone here,” stated a local trader.

A market insider explained the growing concerns. “Many workers are considering leaving their jobs.”

Furthermore, the drinking water crisis continues unabated. Workers depend on a temple tap.

The market receives 50-60 trucks daily from neighboring states. However, basic amenities remain missing.

On the other hand, market statistics show impressive growth. Daily transactions exceed Rs 5 crore.

Additionally, the market employs over 200 laborers. Their working conditions need immediate attention.

The committee has issued warnings to the canteen operator. Strict action may follow soon.

“We will resolve these issues within a month,” assured a committee representative.

Nevertheless, similar promises remain unfulfilled. Workers continue facing daily struggles.

In addition, the market serves five neighboring districts. Its importance cannot be understated.

The facility was established in 1985. It has grown significantly since then.
