JAMSHEDPUR – Train operations on the Muri rail section were disrupted on Saturday due to a scheduled line block for maintenance work. Consequently, the Tatanagar-Barkakana MEMU train was canceled, leaving passengers to seek alternate arrangements.
Railway authorities confirmed that multiple trains on the Adra, Ranchi, Asansol, and Kharagpur routes were also affected. The line block in the Chakradharpur and Ranchi divisions led to the cancellation of services between Tatanagar, Hatia, and Bilaspur until February 2. Additionally, certain trains will not pass through Tatanagar during this period.
Passengers Struggle Amid Train Cancellations
The cancellation and route diversions have caused significant inconvenience to hundreds of travelers. Many reported difficulties in arranging alternative transportation. A frequent commuter remarked, “The sudden cancellation has left us stranded, and the lack of information adds to the confusion.”
