Counselor Identified as Mastermind in Palamu Shelter Home Case
Key Points:

– Counselor sent photos of girls to multiple individuals
– Shelter home operator and counselor arrested; probe ongoing
MEDININAGAR – The investigation into the Palamu Shelter Home sexual exploitation case has brought forth startling new revelations. Authorities have intensified their inquiry, uncovering crucial evidence that points to the shelter home counselor as the key accused.
Palamu Police, during their investigation, examined the counselor’s mobile phone and discovered photos of shelter home girls being shared with external individuals. Some photos were even sent to a Child Welfare Committee (CWC) member. Reports indicate that the counselor routinely sent at least ten such photos to various people.
Mobile Evidence and Disturbing Complaints
During questioning, the victims revealed to police officers that the counselor repeatedly shared their photos with outsiders. Complaints against this activity, however, were often met with scolding and threats. Police are currently verifying the names of those who received these photos.
In addition to the counselor, the shelter home operator has been arrested. Allegations suggest that the operator frequently took girls to his residence, bypassing mandatory entry logs. At times, visits were excused under the pretense of medical treatment.
Ongoing Investigation and Police Action
Palamu ASP Rakesh Kumar Singh confirmed that the investigation is progressing swiftly. He stated, “We have found that the counselor shared girls’ photos with several people. Verification of all involved names is underway, and appropriate action will follow.”
Authorities say they remain committed to unearthing the full extent of the abuse. The scandal has raised serious concerns about shelter home oversight and the safety of vulnerable children.
