JAMSHEDPUR – Residents and leaders gathered to honor Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his death anniversary, acknowledging his role as the architect of the Indian Constitution.

Dr. Ambedkar’s contributions were commemorated at the Bhimrao Ambedkar Chowk in Sakchi, where the Communist Party of India (CPI) organized a floral tribute. Party members and locals paid homage to his statue, reflecting on his legacy.

Ambuj Thakur, the district secretary of the CPI, stated, “Because of Dr. Ambedkar, every citizen has constitutional rights. Today, we remember him for his invaluable contributions.” Thakur emphasized that the Constitution safeguards individual rights, and this occasion is a reminder to cherish those protections.

Meanwhile, people from diverse walks of life in Jamshedpur also visited the chowk to offer their respects. Events and discussions were held citywide to spread awareness of Ambedkar’s ideals.

Dr. Ambedkar’s death anniversary, also known as Mahaparinirvan Diwas, is observed annually on December 6. It highlights his relentless fight against social inequality and his pivotal role in shaping modern India.

In addition to Jamshedpur, tributes poured in from across the nation, including major events in Mumbai and Delhi. Ambedkar remains a symbol of empowerment, inspiring movements for social justice and equality.
