Jamshedpur Women’s University Hosts Badminton Singles Tournament

BBA’s Kiran Agarwal Wins First Place in 2024-2025 Series Event

Jamshedpur – Jamshedpur Women’s University conducted a badminton singles competition at its Bistupur campus indoor stadium as part of its 2024-2025 academic series. The event celebrated emerging sports talent among its students.

Winners and Honors

In the competition, Kiran Agarwal from the BBA program clinched the first position. Parima Biruli, a postgraduate English second-year student, took the second spot, while Sakshi Rai, an undergraduate English student, secured the third position.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Anjila Gupta congratulated the winners and wished them success in their future endeavors. She emphasized the importance of such events in nurturing student talent and providing a platform for their growth.

Presence of Faculty and Officials

The event was graced by Dr. Kishwar Ara, Dean of Student Welfare, and Dr. Sanatan Deep, Chairperson of the Sports Committee, along with faculty members Ms. Teja and Mr. Prabhat. Non-teaching staff and students also attended the event, creating an encouraging atmosphere for the participants.

Promoting Student Talent

Dr. Gupta remarked, "These tournaments help identify and support talented students, motivating them to achieve greater heights in sports and academics." The university continues its commitment to holistic student development through such initiatives.
