MEDININAGAR – A five-day training camp for the third stage of Bharat Scouts and Guides began on Friday at the Scout Bhavan, Police Line Road, Palamu.
The camp was inaugurated by Rakesh Singh, Deputy Mayor of the local municipal corporation, who hoisted the flag amidst a formal ceremony. Addressing the participants, Singh elaborated on the core objectives of the Bharat Scouts and Guides and emphasized its role in fostering discipline and service among children. "Discipline shapes individuals into greatness, and truth inspires a better future for our nation," Singh stated, urging students to embrace the principles of the movement to achieve personal and social growth.
The event witnessed participation from students across various schools in the district. Singh encouraged them to channel their learnings towards self-improvement and contributing positively to society and the nation.
Satish Dubey, the district president of the Jharkhand Secondary Teachers Association, highlighted the significance of discipline imparted by the Scouts and Guides. "Students excelling in this domain often carve successful careers," Dubey remarked, urging participants to apply their training to real-life scenarios.
Alok Tiwari, the association’s secretary, emphasized the transformative impact of education and training. He pointed out that the program equips children with self-defense skills and enhances their physical and mental resilience. "Children should commit themselves fully to this training to benefit maximally," Tiwari added.
Meanwhile, State Organization Commissioner Amod Singh explained the residential nature of the camp and its focus on holistic child development. Various practical sessions, aimed at life improvement and skill enhancement, are included in the five-day schedule, with the conclusion slated for December 3.
Other attendees included notable members like Sunil Kumar, Amit Jha, and Shruti Mishra, who contributed to the camp’s successful launch.
