* Four-time MLA earlier defeated sitting CM Raghubar Das

JAMSHEDPUR – Veteran politician Saryu Roy achieves unprecedented electoral success in steel city.

The political landscape witnessed a remarkable transformation. Saryu Roy has now secured victories in both constituencies.

"This victory represents people’s trust in development-focused leadership," remarked a local political analyst.

Moreover, Roy’s journey began in Bihar’s Buxar district. He entered politics under Kailashpati Mishra’s guidance.

The campaign strategy proved highly effective. Roy connected BJP’s lotus with JDU’s cylinder symbol.

Furthermore, his slogan resonated with diverse voter groups. It united supporters across party lines.

Meanwhile, Roy’s political journey shows impressive growth. He first won from Jamshedpur West in 2005.

In addition, his 2019 victory was particularly significant. He defeated then-Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

The JDU witnessed renewed strength through this victory. The party returned to prominence after a decade.

Besides, Roy’s relationship with Nitish Kumar proved beneficial. It facilitated his smooth transition to JDU.

On the other hand, the election management showed excellence. Nirmal Singh led the committee effectively.

The victory marks JDU’s revival in Jharkhand. Roy previously served thrice as BJP MLA.

Furthermore, this achievement parallels Raja Peter’s historic win. Peter had defeated Shibu Soren previously.
