Political Giants Fall as JMM Dominates Kolhan Assembly Polls

JAMSHEDPUR – Major political figures faced unexpected defeats as JMM demonstrated overwhelming dominance in Kolhan’s assembly elections.
Saryu Roy emerged victorious in Jamshedpur West. He defeated incumbent Health Minister Banna Gupta.
Meanwhile, Purnima Sahu delivered a crushing blow to Congress. She defeated Dr. Ajoy Kumar by 47,000 votes.
Moreover, JMM’s Mangal Kalindi retained Jugsalai. His margin exceeded 40,000 votes against AJSU’s candidate.
However, the biggest upset came in Potka. JMM’s Sanjeev Sardar defeated former CM’s wife Meera Munda.
Furthermore, Ramdas Soren secured Ghatshila constituency. He won against Baboolal Soren by 20,000 votes.
"JMM’s grassroots connection proved decisive," noted a political observer.
In addition, Samir Mohanty clinched Baharagora seat. He defeated BJP veteran Dr. Dineshanand Goswami.
Besides, the counting at Jamshedpur Cooperative College witnessed high drama. Security remained tight throughout.
Meanwhile, Independent candidate Shivshankar Singh struggled. He received less than 10,000 votes.
"Voters clearly preferred established parties this time," remarked a local political analyst.
On the other hand, JMM’s tribal-focused approach yielded results. The party dominated tribal-majority constituencies.
"This victory reflects people’s faith in regional leadership," stated a senior JMM leader.
