JAMSHEDPUR – The East Singhbhum District Congress Committee commemorated the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi with a tribute ceremony at the Tilak Library in Bistupur, Jamshedpur.
District President Anand Bihari Dubey, the event’s chief guest, paid floral tributes to Indira Gandhi’s portrait and called for adherence to her ideals to serve the nation meaningfully.
Highlighting her achievements, Dubey recalled Indira Gandhi’s role in the independence movement through the formation of the Bal Sena and her international recognition as a strong leader who established a robust image for India.
“Her leadership during the 1971 war led to the creation of Bangladesh, and her nationalization of banks, sugar mills, and coal mines safeguarded the future of Indians,” said Dubey. He emphasized that her visionary policies earned her the title of the Iron Lady.
