Jamshedpur: The second entry gate, which was pending for years at Tatanagar station of Jamshedpur, was finally completed. On Saturday, CKP Rail Division’s DRM Vijay Kumar Sahu, Jamshedpur MP Biddut Baran Mahato and Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi formally inaugurated it.
The Jugsalai MLA also appeared a little unhappy over several unsolved civic issues relating to the areas of his constituency adjoining the railway station.
Tatanagar station is mainly connected by roads on two sides, which connects the Jamshedpur urban area to the station.
On one side are areas of Bistupur and Jugsalai, while on the the other side are Burmaines and Golmuri areas.
There are a large number of travelers coming from the Burmamines side. This is the route for the commuters of almost the entire easterm part of the city. Earlier, they had to enter by coming down via the station bridge. This wasted their time and there was a demand for the second entry gate on the eastern side for years.
The construction started after the initiative of the MP Bidyut Baran Mahato and the Ministry of Railways and finally it was inaugurated on Saturday.
On the occasion, the guests inaugurated the gate formally.
People coming from Burmamines area will also get parking facility at this second entry gate and tickets will also be available there, so that they can directly enter the station premises. Is.
A new 250 meter foot over bridge has also been built for platform connectivity, which connects all the platforms with this entry gate.
At the same time, Mangal Kalindi, the MLA of Jugsalai area, was very unhappy over unsolved civic problems of his constituency.
He said that the road and settlement areas adjacent to the station premises come under the working area of the railways. There is lack of civic facilities in the area.
He said that he wants to get a few projects completed in this area using his MLA fund, but the Rail DRM has withheld the NOC for several such projects and development work in the area has come to a standstill as a result.
According to him, the road connecting the station to the Bistupur area is narrow, which should have been widened.
He said that he had also pressed the Rail DRM for this, but that work was not done either.
He said that he had also raised the demand of installation of a statue of Veer Kishan Dubey, the martyred son of Jamshedpur, at the second entry gate and this request too was ignored.
He indicated that these are the reasons why he is unhappy with the attitude of the railway officials.
