Deputy General Manager Anil Kumar Dubey outlines improvements for station facilities, infrastructure, and security.

JAMSHEDPUR – Railway Deputy General Manager Anil Kumar Dubey led a high-level meeting to discuss the modernization of Tatanagar railway station, revealing two redevelopment maps aimed at enhancing passenger amenities and infrastructure.

"We’ve drafted comprehensive plans to address developmental hurdles and improve station facilities," Dubey stated in a press briefing following the meeting.

The proposed upgrades include refurbishing old foot over bridges, expanding the loco yard, and constructing a second entry gate at Burmamines.

Senior DCM Aditya Kumar Chaudhary and Area Manager Abhishek Kumar Singhal were present, contributing to discussions on various aspects of the modernization plan.

Dubey highlighted the importance of minimizing passenger inconvenience during the construction of the third railway line.

"Special training sessions for agency personnel are being conducted to ensure smooth execution of the project," he added.

The Deputy General Manager acknowledged concerns regarding medical facilities for railway employees and security in railway colonies.

Plans to address encroachments on railway land, starting with Gandhinagar, were also discussed during the meeting.

Shivji Sharma, Central Vice President of the South Eastern Railway Men’s Union, presented a 10-point demand letter to Dubey.

The union’s demands included improved health facilities and stringent action against unauthorized occupants of railway quarters.

These comprehensive plans will be submitted to the Railway Minister for final approval and implementation.
