Palamu DC Inspects Counting Center Ahead of Jharkhand Assembly Polls

MEDININAGAR – Preparations for the November 23 vote counting of the Jharkhand Assembly Elections are in full swing, with District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan inspecting facilities at the GLA College counting center.
During his visit, DC Ranjan reviewed the constituency-wise counting areas and the secure strongroom. He emphasized the strict adherence to guidelines from the Election Commission of India (ECI).
He directed officials to ensure proper lighting, barricading, and the availability of essential materials at all counting tables. Executive Engineer of Building Construction was instructed to address these needs promptly.
"The vote counting will begin under tight security arrangements," said DC Ranjan. He also stressed the importance of maintaining law and order throughout the process.
Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Shabbir Ahmed supervised a training program for over 700 personnel, including micro-observers, supervisors, and assistants. Five district trainers and 34 master trainers provided detailed instructions at the GLA College, utilizing 17 classrooms for the sessions.
Other senior officials present included Municipal Commissioner Mohammed Javed Hussain, Panki Returning Officer and DSO Preeti Kisku, and Deputy Election Officer Uday Rajak. Their coordinated efforts are set to ensure the smooth execution of the counting process.
