JAMSHEDPUR – Dr. Ajoy Kumar, the Congress candidate for Jamshedpur East, cast his vote on Sunday at Shiksha Niketan School’s polling booth in Telco after visiting the Hanuman temple with his wife, Reena Arya, for prayers.
Speaking to reporters after voting, Kumar appealed to Jamshedpur’s residents to increase voter turnout, emphasizing its role in strengthening democracy.
He encouraged citizens to "vote first, eat later" and expressed gratitude for the support he’s received from the Jamshedpur community.
Kumar noted that people in Jamshedpur East had endured an atmosphere of fear for over 30 years and saw the election as a chance to bring positive change.
He also acknowledged skilled leaders within the BJP who, he claimed, similarly wanted to eliminate fear and support a safe, peaceful environment for the region’s development.
Dr. Kumar shared that some BJP leaders were supporting his candidacy to help end what he described as an "atmosphere of terror," hoping for a unified, secure future for the constituency.
