JAMSHEDPUR – The Singhbhum District Hindi Literature Conference, in collaboration with Tulsi Bhavan, celebrated the birth anniversary of renowned Hindi poet Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh with a literary tribute and poetry recitation session, “Kavya Kalash,” held at Tulsi Bhavan’s Prayag Hall.
Presided over by Tulsi Bhavan President Subhash Chandra Munka, the event commenced with a ceremonial lamp-lighting and a Saraswati Vandana performed by Dr. Veena Pandey ‘Bharti.’
In his welcome address, Dr. Prasanjit Tiwari, Honorary Secretary of Tulsi Bhavan, extended a warm greeting to the attendees.
Brajen Nath Mishra, one of the speakers, delivered a heartfelt homage, outlining Muktibodh’s significant contributions to Hindi literature.
In the “Kavya Kalash” session, 33 poets from the region presented their original works, sharing diverse themes and styles.
Prominent poets included Shailendra Pandey, Sheshnath Singh ‘Sharad,’ Kumar Rajendra Goswami, Neelambar Chaudhary, Dr. Uday Pratap Hayat, and Reena Sinha ‘Saloni,’ among others.
The event was further graced by trustees and literary figures such as Dr. Ragini Bhushan, Dr. Ajay Kumar Ojha, and editor Siddhnath Singh, who were recognized for their ongoing contributions to the local literary scene.
Concluding with a communal singing of the national anthem, the gathering reinforced its commitment to fostering Hindi literature and honoring Muktibodh’s legacy.
