JAMSHEDPUR – In a strategic move ahead of assembly polls, BJP has unveiled an extensive development roadmap targeting welfare, employment and infrastructure.

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s electoral manifesto for Jharkhand emphasizes comprehensive development across multiple sectors.

Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda elaborated on the party’s vision during a press briefing at a Sakchi hotel.

"Our government will ensure swift implementation of DBT payments within 24 hours of processing," stated Senior BJP leader Gunjan Kumar, District Coordinator.

Major welfare schemes announced include:

The party has outlined plans for medical infrastructure expansion with 10 new medical colleges.

Local party officials including Jamshedpur Metropolitan President Sudhansu Ojha attended the conference.

Main Points in BJP’s Election Manifesto

1. Gogo Didi Scheme: Every woman in Jharkhand will receive ₹2,100 per month, totaling more than ₹25,000 annually.

2. Lakshmi Johar Scheme: Provide gas cylinders at ₹500 for all families and two free cylinders per year during Diwali and Raksha Bandhan.

3. Ensured Employment Scheme: Recruit for 287,000 government positions and create 500,000 self-employment opportunities. By November 2025, fill 150,000 positions and issue an annual recruitment calendar.

4. Youth Companion Allowance: Offer a monthly allowance of ₹2,000 for up to two years to unemployed graduate and postgraduate youths struggling for employment.

5. Realizing the Dream Home: Provide free sand for construction. Offer financial assistance of ₹100,000 for 2.1 million homes under the PM Housing Scheme and connect the remaining 5.9 million homes with clean water supply.

6. Zero Tolerance Policy Against Corruption: Establish a commission to investigate corruption cases, eliminate Naxalism within two years, curb illegal mining, and reinstate the 181 CM Communication Helpline.

7. Increase in Village Head Salary: Double the salary of village heads (Mukhiyas) from ₹2,500 to ₹5,000.

8. Operation Suraksha (Security): Eradicate human trafficking by 2027, establish a 24/7 toll-free anti-trafficking helpline, and create a rehabilitation fund for victims.

9. Farmer Protection Policy: Purchase paddy from farmers at ₹3,100 per quintal.

10. Prevention of Harvesting Losses: Make payments via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) within 24 hours. Under the Agriculture Blessing Scheme, provide ₹5,000 per acre to farmers owning up to 5 acres.

11. Reservation Policies: Maintain SC/ST reservations in government jobs and educational institutions. Implement a 27% reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBC).

12. Infrastructure Development: Build 25,000 kilometers of roads under the Diamond Quadrilateral Expressway and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Create a rail network connecting every district headquarters to the capital, Ranchi. Construct Jharkhand Johar Bhavans in major cities to accommodate residents living outside the state.

13. Justice for Candidates: Address the cancellation of JSSC-CGL examinations. Initiate a CBI investigation into major paper leaks and appoint the JPSC Chairman.

14. Addressing Illegal Bangladeshi Infiltration: Reclaim tribal lands occupied by infiltrators. Deny tribal status to children of infiltrators marrying tribal women.

15. Stamp Duty of ₹1: Reintroduce property registration at a ₹1 stamp duty for women purchasing immovable property valued up to ₹50 lakh.

16. Free Education for Daughters: Provide free education for Jharkhand’s daughters in B.Ed, Nursing, and other professional courses.

17. Formation of Rehabilitation Commission: Establish a commission to ensure rehabilitation before any displacement occurs.

18. Support for Tribal Identity and Festivals: Provide grants for festivals and folk events celebrating tribal identity and honor.

19. Development of Tribal Memorials: Allocate ₹500 crore to develop the Sido-Kanhu Research Center and memorials of tribal heroes.

20. Phulo-Jhano Padho Bitia Scheme: Offer free education from kindergarten to postgraduate levels for every girl child from poor and backward classes.

21. Maternity Protection Scheme: Provide each pregnant woman with six nutrition kits and financial assistance of ₹21,000.

22. Healthcare Expansion: Open 10 new government medical colleges and one nursing college in every district. Add 25,000 new beds in hospitals. Under Ayushman Bharat Jeevan Dhara, offer free healthcare services up to ₹10 lakh for all individuals aged 70 and above. Provide a monthly pension of up to ₹2,500 for widows and differently-abled persons.

23. Support for Agriculture and Forest Products: Set a Minimum Support Price for Arhar and Mandua. Establish processing and storage centers in every tribal block, form Large-sized Adivasi Multipurpose Cooperative Societies (LAMPS), and ensure smooth procurement of major forest products.

24. Guarantee of Tribal Rights: Exclude tribals from the purview of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). Implement PESA (Panchayats Extension to Scheduled Areas Act) to empower village heads. Distribute forest rights pattas and close minor cases registered by the Forest Department.

25. Jharkhand Internship and Skill Training (JIST): Provide training to 500,000 youths along with financial assistance of ₹100,000. Upgrade all Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), establish innovation hubs, and offer state-of-the-art training to artisans.

26. Tourism Development: Develop the Bhagwati Circuit and Baba Baidyanath-Basukinath temples. Transform tribal circuits and Betla National Park into eco-tourism destinations to make Jharkhand one of the top five tourism-friendly states.
