CHANDIL – Savita Mahato, MLA from Ichagarh, officially filed her nomination for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections amid a massive crowd of supporters.
Mahato, the INDIA alliance candidate, addressed the gathering, asking for support to win her third term. She condemned opposition parties for labeling her an outsider, referring to it as an insult to her martyr family.
Speaking at the event, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren launched a scathing attack on the BJP-AJSU coalition. Soren pledged that if his government is re-elected, officers will visit every household to address citizens’ concerns.
He accused the opposition of consistently trying to destabilize his government over the last five years and stated, “Our single-engine government has outperformed their double-engine one.”
Soren also highlighted that the state is fighting to recover ₹1.36 lakh crore owed by the central government. During the event, several leaders, including AJSU’s Karthik Mahato and former Kapali Council VP Sarwar Alam, joined the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).
