JAMSHEDPUR – JRD Tata Sports Complex witnessed a unique voter awareness campaign during an ISL football match, where around 20,000 spectators participated in a mass voter pledge.
The event, themed "Connecting Voters Through Football" and #VoteKaregaEastSinghbhum, aimed to encourage citizens, especially the youth, to exercise their voting rights in the upcoming assembly elections.
District Election Officer Ananya Mittal, alongside other officials including Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Shatabdi Majumdar, led the campaign.
Mittal emphasized the importance of every single vote in strengthening democracy, urging the audience to ensure their participation in the elections.
The "Main Bharat Hoon" anthem was displayed on the big screen, stirring a sense of duty among the attendees and motivating them to contribute to the nation’s progress through voting.
