JAMSHEDPUR – Congress has once again chosen Banna Gupta, the incumbent minister and MLA, as its candidate for the Jamshedpur West Assembly seat, bringing excitement to party supporters.
Party workers and leaders warmly celebrated his nomination, and several young supporters joined the Congress under Gupta’s leadership, pledging to ensure his victory in the upcoming elections.
Speaking to the media, Gupta emphasized his long-standing commitment to serving the people of Jamshedpur, especially over the past five years.
He pointed out major development projects like the new hospital in Dimna, the flyover under construction in Mango, and improvements to the area’s water supply, all of which he believes will directly benefit the residents.
Gupta also took a jab at NDA candidate Saryu Roy, calling him a "BJP’s Bhasmasur" who previously harmed the party by leveling false accusations against BJP leaders during the last elections. He accused Roy of enjoying the perks of power when he was a BJP minister but later turning against his own party.
