Tata Steel Boosts Officer Benefits with Mobile Allowance

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel has introduced a new financial incentive for its officers, offering substantial allowances for mobile handset purchases to enhance employee welfare.

The company recently issued a circular detailing the new policy.

VP HRM Atrayee Sanyal announced the initiative in the official communication.

Officers can receive up to Rs 64,000 depending on their grade and service length.

This move aims to acknowledge long-standing employee contributions to the company.

The policy ensures officers have access to modern communication devices.

Employees using mobile phones for over three years are eligible for increased allowances.

The incentive amount is 1.5 times the standard for those with longer service.

Officers at IL 2, E2, E3, and R2 levels can receive up to Rs 64,000.

Meanwhile, IL 3, E4, E5, and R3 level officers may get up to Rs 50,000.

For IL 4, E6, E7, O1, and R4 levels, the maximum allowance is Rs 40,000.

Officers at IL 5, O2, O3, R5, O4, and O5 levels can receive up to Rs 32,000.

The policy allocates up to Rs 28,000 for IL 6 or O6 grade officers.

Allowances start at Rs 14,000 for officers with two years of service.

The initiative reflects Tata Steel’s commitment to employee welfare and modernization.

This policy update is expected to boost morale among the company’s officers.
