JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy has been appointed as the ‘Patron in Chief’ of the Jharkhand Basketball Association.
The announcement came during a significant basketball event in the state.
Moreover, JP Singh, the Association’s General Secretary, revealed Roy’s new role.
The declaration was made at the Dhatkidih Community Centre on Friday.
Furthermore, the occasion marked the inauguration of Jharkhand Basketball League Season One.
"This appointment strengthens our basketball community," Singh stated.
He added, "Roy’s support will boost the sport’s development in Jharkhand."
The inaugural league features six teams from across the state.
