Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024 Schedule Announced

Voting Set for November 13, Counting on November 23

JAMSHEDPUR – The District Election Officer has revealed the timeline for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024, with voting scheduled for November 13.

The electoral process for the Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024 has officially begun with the issuance of the election notification.

District Election Officer Ananya Mittal unveiled the election schedule during a press briefing at the Collectorate Auditorium in Jamshedpur.

Aspiring candidates can submit their nomination papers until October 25, 2024.

The scrutiny of nominations will take place on October 28, allowing candidates to withdraw their nominations by October 30.

The election will witness participation from 18,73,589 registered voters across 1913 polling booths in the district.

Mittal emphasized the importance of adhering to the varied voting hours at different polling stations.

"We have implemented different voting schedules to ensure smooth electoral operations," stated Ananya Mittal, the District Election Officer.

The voting hours for specific assembly constituencies are as follows:

7 AM – 5 PM (all stations)

The election authorities have set a maximum campaign expenditure limit of ₹40 lakh per candidate to ensure fair competition.

Election officials urge voters to familiarize themselves with their designated polling stations and corresponding voting hours to facilitate a smooth voting process.

The counting of votes is scheduled for November 23, 2024, marking the culmination of the electoral process.
