‘Chhaap’ Literature Festival Kicks Off in Adityapur

Two-day event draws literary figures from India and abroad

JAMSHEDPUR – The ‘Chhaap’ Literature Festival began today at the Adityapur Auto Cluster auditorium, attracting renowned literary figures.

Organized by the Seraikela-Kharsawan district administration, the two-day event promotes art and culture.

District Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla emphasized the festival’s focus on enriching Hindi literature.

Moreover, the festival features 42 subject experts representing 10 different languages.

Discussions will cover 18 distinct topics, including rural libraries and literature’s role in democracy.

Furthermore, cultural evenings are planned as part of the event.

Actor Akhilendra Mishra will perform a solo play on Swami Vivekananda.

Additionally, a poetry gathering will showcase young writers like Niloptal Mrinal and Satya Vyas.

Meanwhile, the festival addresses compositions in various regional languages.

Santali, Ho, Oriya, Bengali, English, Urdu, Hindi, Maithili, and Bhojpuri works will be featured.

On the other hand, the event incorporates voter awareness initiatives for upcoming assembly elections.

Shukla highlighted concerns about low urban voter turnout in previous elections.

A local literature enthusiast remarked, "This festival could significantly boost literary interest in our region."
