JAMSHEDPUR – The Jharkhand Loktantrik Kranti Morcha (JLKM) has expanded its roster of candidates for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections.
The party unveiled its third list of nominees during a press conference on Thursday.
This latest announcement brings the total number of JLKM candidates to 28.
Devendranath Mahato has been chosen to contest from the Silli constituency.
Party officials highlighted Mahato’s previous electoral performance in Ranchi.
"Mahato’s vote count in Silli surpassed the Congress candidate during the Lok Sabha elections," a party spokesperson noted.
The new list includes candidates for seven different assembly seats.
Ramdas Murmu will be running from Ghatshila in this election cycle.
Meanwhile, Bhagirath Hansda has been nominated for the Potka constituency.
Tarun Dey will represent the party in Jamshedpur East.
For the Mahagama seat, JLKM has selected Jawahar Lal Yadav as its candidate.
Phuleshwar Baitha will be contesting from the Kanke constituency.
In Jarmundi, Rajiv Yadav will carry the party’s banner.
Praveen Mahato has been chosen to represent JLKM in Paudeyahat.
The press conference was led by key party figures Vikas Mahato and Sushil Mandal.
They emphasized the meticulous candidate selection process employed by the party.
"Our choices reflect the party’s commitment to strong local representation," an insider commented.
JLKM’s central president, Jairam Mahato, was previously announced as the Dumri candidate.
Party officials hinted at more candidate revelations in the coming days.
The presence of JLKM Parliamentary Board members at the event underscored the party’s electoral readiness.
