JAMSHEDPUR – In a swift breakthrough, Kapali OP police in Chandil Subdivision arrested Faiyaz Ansari, also known as Danish, for the murder of his father-in-law, Abdul Salim, within 24 hours of the crime.

The police recovered key evidence, including the blood-stained iron tool used in the murder, blood-soaked cotton gauze, and the victim’s blood-stained clothing.

According to police, Faiyaz Ansari was furious over his ex-wife Saiyka Parveen’s second marriage, which led to the brutal murder.

Faiyaz and his wife had divorced just two months after their wedding, and her family was preparing for her remarriage.

On October 7, Faiyaz attacked his father-in-law Abdul Salim with a pickaxe while he was asleep, killing him on the spot.

Notably, the murder occurred on the same day as his ex-wife’s Mehendi ceremony.

Faiyaz Ansari has been remanded to judicial custody.
