Jubilee Park Youth Extortion Gang Busted, 8 Arrested

JAMSHEDPUR – Local police have apprehended a gang of eight youths for extorting money and valuables from couples and students near Jubilee Park.
The Bistupur police station team has made significant progress in the case.
Moreover, the gang’s modus operandi involved assaulting victims and forcibly transporting them on motorcycles.
In addition, the criminals would take their captives across the Adityapur bridge before robbing them.
The gang members would then coerce victims into transferring money via mobile phones.
Furthermore, five adult suspects have been identified: Vishal Kumar, Golu Kumar Singh, Aditya Raj Singh, Pankaj Kumar, and Ravi Kumar.
Meanwhile, three minors were also involved in the criminal activities.
All suspects hail from the RIT police station area in Saraikela-Kharsawan district.
"We formed a special team following the senior superintendent’s orders," stated City SP Rishabh Garg.
On the other hand, the investigation utilized CCTV footage, technical analysis, and informant networks.
The police chief commended the entire team for their successful operation.
