Police boost patrols, warn against rash driving during festivities

Key Points:

• SSP holds key meeting to review security for Durga Puja

• Rash driving to face immediate action, vehicles to be seized

• Public urged to report suspicious content via police helplines

JAMSHEDPUR – The district administration has ramped up security measures to ensure a peaceful Durga Puja celebration, with a focus on preventing disturbances and reckless driving.

Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal convened a crucial meeting with law enforcement teams. He emphasized the importance of continuous patrolling in crowded areas during the festival.

Moreover, the SSP addressed the issue of rash driving, which often increases during celebrations. "Specific areas prone to reckless driving have been identified for special monitoring," a senior police official stated.

Furthermore, the police have issued a public appeal for cooperation in maintaining peace. They warned against spreading misinformation or provocative content on social media platforms.

In addition, two 24/7 helpline numbers have been made available for citizens to report suspicious activities. The Composite Control Room will manage these lines, ensuring confidentiality for informants.

On the other hand, the authorities have cautioned against sharing objectionable content that could incite violence. "Spreading rumors or inflammatory posts is a punishable offense," a legal expert explained.

Meanwhile, the district police have urged the public to celebrate Durga Puja in a spirit of harmony and goodwill. They requested citizens to cooperate with authorities in maintaining order during the festivities.

However, the SSP emphasized that public participation is crucial for successful security measures. "We rely on citizens to alert us to any attempts at spreading discord," a community liaison officer noted.

In conclusion, these comprehensive security arrangements aim to create a safe and joyous environment for all during the Durga Puja celebrations in Jamshedpur.
