JAMSHEDPUR – Dakshina Bharata Mahila Samaj (DBMS) in Jamshedpur has commenced its Navratri celebrations with the traditional Gudiya Puja at its B H Area premises in Kadma.

The festivities began with members chanting the Sri Lalita Sahasranama.

Moreover, a special puja was performed as part of the opening day’s rituals.

This year’s celebration features a new statue of Goddess Saraswati as its centerpiece.

Furthermore, the statue was uniquely decorated with bangles, adding a distinctive touch to the display.

Students actively participated in the installation and decoration of the new Saraswati statue.

Their involvement brought a youthful energy to the traditional celebration.

Additionally, the Gudiya Puja marks the beginning of a week-long series of rituals and events.

The Navratri celebrations at DBMS are scheduled to continue until October 12.

On the other hand, more rituals and activities are planned throughout the upcoming week.

These events aim to engage the community in the spirit of Navratri.

The collaboration between DBMS members and students highlights intergenerational participation.

This approach ensures the continuation of cultural traditions while involving younger generations.

The Gudiya Puja at DBMS represents a significant cultural event in Jamshedpur’s festive calendar.
