JAMSHEDPUR – A vibrant Rajasthani-themed procession and cultural extravaganza marked the conclusion of Shri Agrasen Jayanti celebrations in Jamshedpur.
The city witnessed a spectacular display of Rajasthani culture as the Agrasen Maharaj procession began from the JNAC office. Participants donned traditional Rajasthani attire, creating a colorful spectacle.
Twenty-five intricately decorated chariots led the parade. Each float featured captivating tableaux depicting various deities and scenes from Indian mythology.
Women adorned with peacock feathers performed graceful dances, adding to the festive atmosphere. The procession wound its way through key city landmarks before concluding at Agrasen Bhawan.
"This grand celebration truly showcases the unity and rich cultural heritage of our community," remarked a local resident, visibly moved by the spectacle.
Evening Festivities and Honors
As dusk fell, the focus shifted to a cultural program at Agrasen Bhawan. The event commenced with a Ganesh Vandana dance performance, setting a reverent tone for the evening.
Banna Gupta, Jharkhand’s Minister for Health and Family Welfare, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Sandeep Murarka, the organization’s president, and Abhishek Agarwal, the general secretary, welcomed him with traditional honors.
Community Recognition
The program highlighted outstanding achievements within the Agrawal community. Notable honorees included Sudha Agarwal for literature and Rajkumar Agarwal for cow welfare initiatives.

Senior Couples Felicitated
In a heartwarming gesture, eleven couples married for over 60 years received special recognition. The organizers presented them with silver coins, acknowledging their enduring partnerships.
