City SP Rishabh Garg led a Tiger Mobile team on motorcycle patrols through Bistupur and Sakchi markets.
The team assessed potential traffic congestion points to ensure smooth movement during the festival.
Garg emphasized the importance of protecting visitors to the elaborate Durga Puja pandals.

“We’re implementing a three-shift patrol system to safeguard against pickpocketing in crowded areas,” stated a senior police official.
Plainclothes officers will be deployed at key locations to maintain vigilance.
Law enforcement will maintain a strict stance against criminal activities during the festivities.
Rash driving remains a concern, with Garg warning of severe consequences for offenders.
