Jamshedpur Police to Reclaim 70 Acres of Lal Baba Foundry Land

ADM Law & Order, DSP, And Rapid Action Police To Lead Anti-Encroachment Operation

Key Points:

– Court Orders To Clear Encroachment On 70 Acres Of Lal Baba Foundry Land.

– Local Opposition Delayed Previous Eviction Operation Due To Force Shortages.

– High Court Plea Filed By Residents To Halt Demolition Of Structures.

JAMSHEDPUR – The administration is planning to resume efforts to reclaim 70 acres of encroached land at Lal Baba Foundry, after previous delays.

The planned anti-encroachment operation, which is based on a court order, will involve the ADM (Law & Order) representing the administration.

The police side will be led by DSP (Law & Order), and the Rapid Action Police (RAP) will take charge, replacing the earlier deployed Quick Response Team (QRT).

This move follows a failed attempt to remove the encroachment earlier, which was hindered by heavy resistance from local residents and insufficient police force.

Court Proceedings And Report Submission

Today, a detailed report regarding the previous eviction attempt will be submitted in court by the Nazir.

The report will outline the actions taken to clear the 70-acre land as per the order of the Civil Judge (Junior Division) Jitendra Ram.

In the initial operation, the authorities had been unable to carry out the court’s instructions due to significant opposition and a shortage of law enforcement personnel.

Local Residents Seek Relief

Meanwhile, residents and members of the Kailashnagar Traders’ Committee have approached the High Court seeking to halt the demolition of structures on the disputed land.

Although the application has been filed, it has not yet been scheduled for hearing.

The delay in listing was attributed to the court being closed over the final Saturday of September, followed by Sunday.

Upcoming Hearing On Objections

In another development, the Jamshedpur court will today hear objections related to the ongoing anti-encroachment drive.

During an earlier session, Tata Steel’s legal representative, Vishal Sharma, requested additional time from the court.

The court will now determine whether the eviction operation will proceed or face further delays based on the outcomes of today’s hearings.
