JAMSHEDPUR – The East Singhbhum District Congress Committee staged a demonstration condemning the Home Minister’s remarks about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar during the winter session of Parliament. Party leaders and supporters marched from Sakchi Ambedkar Chowk to the Deputy Commissioner’s office to voice their demands.
Led by District President Anand Bihari Dubey, the protest saw the participation of a large number of Congress workers. Former Rajya Sabha MP Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu also joined the march. The demonstrators criticized the Home Minister’s comments as disrespectful to the architect of the Indian Constitution.
Memorandum Submitted to the President
The protest concluded with the submission of a memorandum addressed to the President of India. The memorandum demanded the resignation of the Home Minister for his alleged disrespectful remarks about Dr. Ambedkar. “If our demands are not met, the movement will intensify,” said Dubey during the demonstration.
Growing Opposition Discontent
This protest is part of a series of ongoing demonstrations across the nation by opposition parties. The Congress has emphasized that the Home Minister’s resignation is non-negotiable, reflecting the deep dissatisfaction with the remarks made in Parliament.
