Golmuri Tinplate Workers Union Raises Key Employee Demands

Union seeks parity with Tata Steel facilities and resolution of pending issues

JAMSHEDPUR – The Golmuri Tinplate Workers Union held an executive meeting to discuss pending employee issues and demands, emphasizing parity with Tata Steel facilities.

Union President Rakeshwar Pandey led the meeting.

Members raised concerns about grade division settlement and facility equality.

Moreover, the union demanded implementation of Tata Steel’s grade structure and benefits.

They called for improvements in scholarships, canteen, hospital, and town maintenance.

Furthermore, the union requested rectification of salary slip issues.

They urged for a help desk establishment to address employee concerns.

Additionally, the union sought job-for-job and Voluntary Retirement Scheme implementation.

Housing and allowances for 10-number colony residents were also demanded.

On the other hand, the union called for employment opportunities for employees’ children.

They requested filling vacant positions with children of Tinplate Division employees.

Meanwhile, the union insisted on continuing welfare schemes for retired employees.

They demanded Tinplate Company maintain control over utilities in the 10-number colony.

The union proposed issuing membership cards similar to Tata Workers Union.

They suggested medical book renewals be done in the Tinplate Division hospital.

Restoration of the leave bank facility was another key demand.

Union President Pandey stressed unity among members to resolve these issues.

He emphasized the importance of management-union collaboration for fair grade revision.

Key attendees included General Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and Vice President Parvinder Singh Sohal.

Senior members Satnam Singh, A Ramesh Rao, and others were also present.
