Tata Zoo Hosts Successful Avian Care Workshop
13 participants from 10 West Bengal zoos complete 3-day training

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Zoological Park (TSZP) concluded a three-day workshop on avian care and captive breeding for West Bengal Zoo Authority participants.
Dr. Rajesh Chouhan, Regional Director of Animal Husbandry, graced the closing ceremony as chief guest.
Meanwhile, Capt. Amitabh, Hon. Secretary of Tata Steel Zoological Society, inaugurated the program on September 20.
Dr. Sulata Maity, Scientific Officer at WBZA, expressed gratitude to TSZP and its Curator, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mahato.
"This marks the beginning of future collaborations between Tata Zoo and WBZA," Dr. Maity stated.
Furthermore, the workshop featured 14 technical sessions, evenly split between classroom learning and field visits.
TSZP staff, including Dr. Seema Rani and Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mahato, shared their expertise during these sessions.
Moreover, participants engaged in hands-on learning experiences and city tours.
On the other hand, Research Assistant Anwesha Dey praised the thoughtfully planned program.
In addition, Sanjit Pandit, Veterinary Assistant at Alipore Zoo, shared his insights with attendees.
The event concluded with 13 participants receiving certificates for completing the workshop.
Lastly, Dr. Seema Rani delivered the vote of thanks, marking the end of this successful collaboration.
