RVS College to Host Major Job Fair for Graduates

40 companies to offer opportunities at two-day event in Jamshedpur

JAMSHEDPUR – A significant employment event is set to take place at RVS College of Engineering and Technology, offering diverse opportunities for recent graduates.

The college is gearing up to host a two-day job fair on September 24 and 25, 2024.

Moreover, this event is a collaborative effort with the Board of Practical Training (BOPT), Eastern Region.

The initiative comes in response to a directive from Prof. Manish R. Joshi, Secretary of the UGC.

Dr. Vikram Sharma, Head of Training and Placement, emphasized the fair’s dual purpose.

On the one hand, it aims to enhance skills among educated youth.

Furthermore, the event seeks to provide substantial employment opportunities to participants.

Approximately 40 companies have confirmed their attendance at the fair.

Each participating firm will establish a dedicated stall on the college campus.

Company representatives will conduct on-site interviews during the event.

In addition, selected candidates will be offered skill development and training programs.

These programs could potentially lead to employment opportunities upon completion.

The job fair welcomes a wide range of graduates, including those with B. Tech and BBA degrees.

Additionally, graduates holding BCB, B.Sc., BA, and Diploma qualifications are eligible to participate.

Several prominent companies are set to take part in the event.

Notably, Tata Steel Limited and Tata BlueScope Steel Pvt. Ltd. will be present.

Other major participants include BCCL and Ramkrishna Forgings Limited.

Meanwhile, Shatrughan Singh, the college treasurer, is overseeing the event’s logistics.

The organizers anticipate attendance from various states, including Jharkhand, Bengal, and Bihar.

To facilitate easy access, a free bus service will operate from Dimna Chowk to the college.
