Health Minister Banna Gupta inspects facility, promises modern healthcare

Key Points:

• OPD services at new MGM Hospital to start in October

• 731-bed hospital to have 131 ICU beds and modern facilities

• 500-bed hospital also under construction in Sakchi

JAMSHEDPUR – Health Minister Banna Gupta announced the imminent launch of OPD services at the new MGM Hospital following an inspection.

The minister conducted a thorough examination of the facility under construction in Dimna.

He instructed the Deputy Commissioner to resolve any obstacles hindering progress.

"OPD services will commence in October, benefiting patients," Gupta informed reporters post-inspection.

The minister highlighted the allocation of a Rs 5 crore uncategorized fund for essential resources.

Gupta criticized the opposition, stating, "The BJP never cared for MGM Hospital during their tenure, yet they raise questions now."

The new hospital will boast 731 beds, including 131 ICU beds and modern amenities.

"We’re addressing the bed shortage issue with this expansion," explained a hospital administrator.

Simultaneously, a 500-bed hospital is being constructed in Sakchi to meet growing healthcare demands.

"The old building was inadequate for current needs," Gupta remarked, emphasizing the necessity for increased capacity.

He announced the imminent start of a 100-bed CCU care unit within the new MGM Hospital premises.

"We’ve tackled two major issues in Mango: healthcare and traffic congestion," the minister asserted.

Gupta challenged opposition parties to review their own contributions to MGM Hospital’s improvement during their governance.
