Health Minister reviews progress of new facility under construction

JAMSHEDPUR – State Health Minister Banna Gupta conducted an inspection of the new 751-bed hospital being built at MGM Medical College and Hospital.
Gupta toured each ward of the hospital under construction.
The minister identified some deficiencies in the building and instructed their rectification.
"The hospital will have 100 CCU beds, 131 ICU beds, and 620 general beds," Gupta stated during discussions.
A catheterization laboratory is also being constructed as part of the project.
The government has allocated five crore rupees for electrical wiring, deep boring, road construction, and building painting.
"Construction began in 2020 and progressed rapidly despite the COVID-19 pandemic," Gupta noted.
He expects the modern hospital to be fully operational within a few months.
"This state-of-the-art facility will greatly benefit city residents," remarked a local healthcare expert.
The District Deputy Commissioner and Civil Surgeon accompanied Gupta during the inspection.
College management officials were also present for the minister’s visit.
