Tight Security in Place for ICAR Event Attendance in Ranchi

RANCHI – President Draupadi Murmu touched down in Ranchi Thursday evening, commencing a two-day Jharkhand visit amid stringent security protocols.
Governor Santosh Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren greeted the President at Birsa Munda Airport.
Following her arrival, President Murmu proceeded to the Governor’s residence.
The routes from the airport to Raj Bhavan and the event venue have been fortified.
Moreover, police personnel are stationed throughout these areas to ensure maximum security.
Jharkhand Police and Ranchi administration have implemented extensive safety measures for the visit.
The Ranchi Police have mobilized over 2,000 personnel, including six IPS officers.
This robust security detail aims to safeguard India’s first female President during her stay.
A three-tier security system will be enforced along the President’s convoy route.
In addition to IPS officers, the team includes 10 DSPs, 25 inspectors, and 20 sub-inspectors.
Furthermore, specialized units like the bomb disposal squad and RAF will remain on high alert.
Strict parking restrictions will be enforced around the event venue in Namkum.
On the other hand, only individuals with authorized passes will be granted entry to the premises.
President Murmu’s schedule includes an overnight stay at Raj Bhavan on September 19.
The following morning, she will attend the ICAR event in Namkum at approximately 10:00 a.m.
Meanwhile, SSP Chandan Sinha has issued stern instructions to all officers involved in security.
He emphasized the importance of vigilance throughout the President’s visit to Jharkhand.
Additionally, police station heads have been directed to conduct regular anti-crime checks.
Hotels and lodges in the vicinity will undergo thorough inspections to ensure maximum safety.
The SSP warned that any security lapse would result in immediate disciplinary action.
Tall buildings along the convoy’s route have been identified as potential vantage points.
Consequently, police personnel will be stationed at these locations before the President’s arrival.
Furthermore, authorities have collected detailed information about the occupants of these buildings.
Areas along the President’s route have been designated as ‘No Fly Zones’ for aerial devices.
This restriction applies within a 200-meter radius of the ICAR Institute on Namkum Tata Road.
The no-fly order will be in effect from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. during the President’s visit.
