Institute welcomes 2024-’27 batch with induction program and tree planting

JAMSHEDPUR – Al-Kabir Polytechnic kicked off its 2024-’27 academic session with an Induction-cum-Orientation Program.
The event, held on September 18, welcomed students from six departments.
Principal Waris Sarwar Imam addressed the gathering, emphasizing excellence and responsibility.
Moreover, he urged students to uphold the Institute’s pride and contribute to societal change.
Assistant Controller of Examinations Abid Hussain detailed the JUT examination systems.
Meanwhile, Maqsood Alam, Head of Training and Placement, discussed job placement activities.
NPTEL Coordinator Hussain introduced the online course offerings to new students.
Furthermore, Alumni Association President Syed Atif Gulrez shared success stories of former students.
The induction program spans fifteen days, featuring tours of nearby facilities.
Additionally, various non-academic activities are planned to familiarize students with the institute.
Dr. Chandana Sharma and P. Veenashila Rao conducted the orientation session.
On the other hand, a tree plantation drive was organized on September 17.
This initiative, part of AICTE’s ‘Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam’ campaign, promoted environmental protection.
The Principal, students, and staff actively participated in the tree planting event.
