JAMSHEDPUR – Former MP and senior Congress leader Dr. Ajoy Kumar has spearheaded a mobile outreach program to connect citizens with government welfare schemes.

The Jan Kalyan Rath initiative commenced on July 9 at Baridiha Chowk.

This program aims to raise awareness about various state government welfare schemes.

Moreover, it facilitates the online application process for numerous benefits.

In its first 60 days, the initiative has reached over 10,000 individuals.

Additionally, the mobile unit travels daily to different areas of Jamshedpur.

The program has helped 3,050 people apply for various pension schemes.

Furthermore, 2,552 families have successfully obtained ration cards through this initiative.

The Jan Kalyan Rath has also assisted in issuing 459 voter cards.

Meanwhile, 1,583 residents have received Ayushman cards for healthcare coverage.

Dr. Kumar emphasized the initiative’s goal of reaching every doorstep in Jamshedpur.

He stated that the effort aims to make government benefits accessible to all citizens.

The program covers a wide range of services, including Aadhar card registration.

Moreover, it has linked 105 beneficiaries with the PM Vishwakarma Yojana.

A local resident remarked, "This mobile service has made accessing schemes much easier."

However, the initiative’s long-term impact on local governance remains to be seen.

Nevertheless, the Jan Kalyan Rath has significantly streamlined the application process for many.

On the other hand, some observers note the program’s potential political implications.

A social activist commented, "Such initiatives can bridge the gap between citizens and welfare schemes."

Dr. Kumar affirmed his commitment to continuing this service for the betterment of Jharkhand.
