JAMSHEDPUR – A yoga championship memorializing a local youth drew hundreds of participants from city schools, featuring esteemed guests and family members.
The Open Amrit Yogasana Championship took place at Kashidih Community Centre hall.
The event commemorated Amrit, who tragically lost his life in a road accident in 2003.
Healyoga and Evesham Yoga Academy organized the competition on Amrit’s death anniversary.
Around 350 children from various city schools showcased their yoga skills during the championship.
The competition was divided into two groups: junior and senior.
In the Junior Group, Anshu Sharma claimed the title of Yoga Kumar.
Meanwhile, Anvesha Panja secured the Yoga Kumari title in the same category.
Abhishek Dey emerged victorious in the Senior Group, earning the Yoga Lalit title.
On the other hand, Abeera Kumari was crowned Yoga Ramya in the senior category.
International Yoga Guru Anshu Sarkar graced the closing ceremony as the chief guest.
Arjun Prasad, Amrit’s father, attended the event to honor his son’s memory.
Additionally, Amrit’s brothers, Abhimanyu and Ravishankar Kumar, were present at the championship.
Munna Sharma, a friend of the late Amrit, also joined the occasion to pay tribute.
The championship served as a fitting tribute to Amrit’s memory, bringing together yoga enthusiasts and supporters.
