Corona claims 2 lives on Tuesday in Jamshedpur, 76 new cases too

Total death toll now 354 in East Singhbhum, total infected 15,976

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus, after sparing Jamshedpur for almost a week, has taken 2 more lives on Tuesday, taking the total death toll due to covid-19 to 354. On the other hand, 76 new coronavirus infection cases were also detected in the district.

Tuesday brought some disappointment for the city as two persons succumbed to the virus. The virus had almost gone on a retreat as it did not claim any life in the city for the last 6 days. However, Tuesday broke that stint and two persons did succumb to the virus.

According to official data, 76 new coronavirus infection cases have also been detected I the city. This was the highest number of new cases during the last 15 days. And it means that there has been some spurt in new cases as well as deaths due to the virus.

According to information received, a 40-year-old woman from Telco was being treated in TMH and she succumbed to the disease Monday night. Similarly, a 76-year-old man also succumbed to the virus in Brahmanand Narayana Hospital.

On Tuesday, 35 patients were also cured and discharged from different hospitals and home quarantine.

Till date, 3,04,528 samples have been tested in the district, out of which 15,976 have tested positive, while 14,414 persons have been cured and discharged.
