JAMSHEDPUR – Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) members from the Sonari unit submitted a memorandum to the East Singhbhum District Commissioner, demanding a ban on firecrackers displaying images and names of Hindu deities during upcoming festivals.
Aditya Verma, Vice President of the Sonari unit, expressed concerns that such depictions hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindu community. He urged the district administration to take immediate action and prevent these offensive practices.
The memorandum also requested the issuance of strict guidelines to firecracker sellers and shopkeepers to avoid selling such products in the future. The VHP members, united in their demand, stressed the importance of respecting religious sentiments during festivals.
