Janmashtami Celebrated with Radha-Krishna Costume Contest in Ghatshila

BDSLCT Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir School hosts event with 54 students participating

Ghatshila school’s Janmashtami celebration features Radha-Krishna costume competition, dance and song performances by students.

GHATSHILA – A Radha-Krishna costume competition was organized by BDSLCT Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir School in Ghatshila to commemorate Janmashtami.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from 54 students who dressed up as Lord Krishna and Radha.

Adik Sen, portraying Lord Krishna, clinched the top spot in the competition.

Chayan Dhawaldev secured the second position in the costume contest.

Shahbaz Baksh and Mani Shankar Sarkar shared the third place honors.

In the girls’ category, Anisha Gorai, dressed as Radha, emerged victorious.

Chitra Singh and Manasi Mahato were awarded the second and third places respectively among the female participants.

The school’s celebration also included dance and song performances by the students.

Participants received praise for their charming and attractive costumes, and were presented with certificates and mementos.

School secretary Praveen Kumar Agarwal attended the event along with committee members Dr. Sunita Devi Soren, Raja Karmakar, Chanda Mukherjee, and Dhananjay Kumar Singh.
