Former Jharkhand CM Champai Soren Gets Grand Reception from Supporters in Ranchi
Kolhan Tiger Champai Soren returns to Ranchi as his supporters gather at Birsa Munda Airport in large numbers.
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, known as the "Kolhan Tiger," is set to join the BJP on August 30 in Ranchi.
RANCHI – Champai Soren, the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, returned to Ranchi after the official dates for his joining the BJP were announced.
Upon his arrival at Birsa Munda Airport, a large number of supporters from Kolhan gathered to catch a glimpse of their leader and show their support.
Outside the airport terminal, the crowd chanted slogans in his favor, creating a highly charged atmosphere.
One supporter stated, "Champai Soren’s decision to join BJP will strengthen the party in Jharkhand and bring new energy to the state’s politics."
It is notable that on Wednesday, Champai Soren resigned from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), stepping down from all his posts and primary membership.
He is now prepared to officially join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Ranchi on August 30.
There is speculation that Union Home Minister Amit Shah may attend the induction event, though the party has yet to confirm his presence.
The move marks a significant shift in Jharkhand’s political landscape, with Soren’s entry into BJP likely to influence regional dynamics.
